Map of Puerto Jimenez Hotels
Puerto Jimenez is a relatively small town and there are not that many accommodation options directly in the downtown area.
Plus, if you are coming to this area you likely don’t want to stay directly in the downtown. Instead, you might want to opt for a more nature-immersive experience.
That being said, this list includes a mix of places in town and in the surrounding area. We created this map to give you a better idea of where each place is located.

1. Luna Lodge
⭐️ RATING: 9.2/10 Stars on Booking.com | ✅ Book it!
Luna Lodge is an eco-lodge located in the pristine Osa Peninsula, near Corcovado National Park.
Keep in mind that this hotel is not located directly in Puerto Jimenez. Instead, it is in a very remote location in the heart of Corcovado National Park.
This secluded retreat offers a variety of accommodations, including bungalows, haciendas, and luxury tents. All options are designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding rainforest.
The lodge features an open-air restaurant, a spa, a yoga platform, and offers various guided tours such as birdwatching, rainforest hikes, and wellness retreats.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the stay.
My Opinion: I think this is one of the most unique places you can stay in all of Costa Rica. How often do you get to stay at the edge of a national park deep in the jungle at a beautiful eco-friendly hotel?
I think at first glance, the prices seem high for somewhat basic accommodations. However, you need to factor in all the other things that are included.
First off, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included daily. The meals are focused around whatever fruits and vegetables are currently fresh in their garden.
Then you also need to factor in the beautiful property, the wonderful outdoor pool, and the on-site options such as spa treatments, yoga classes, and easy access to Corcovado National Park tours.
Overall, I think this place is so cool! But, I wouldn’t recommend it if you are looking for high-end luxury and don’t feel comfortable being immersed with nature.

The property features comfortable, eco-friendly tents with private bathrooms nestled within lush tropical surroundings.
From the hotel, guests can enjoy a range of activities including hiking, wildlife spotting, and beachfront relaxation.
Breakfast is available for an additional fee.
My Opinion: I think Four Monkeys Eco Lodge is perfect if you are interested in having a fully immersive experience with nature. However, on the other side of that, be aware that this is not the place for you if the possibility of having wildlife in your living area freaks you out.
I love that this place is nestled deep in the jungle, but it is also very close to the coast.

⭐️ RATING: 9.1/10 Stars on Booking.com | ✅ Book it!
Botanika Osa Peninsula is one of the most high-end accommodation options in the area. This property is in the Hilton collection, so you can expect the same high standards that Hilton typically offers.
Botanika Osa Peninsula offers spacious rooms, modern amenities, an outdoor pool, a fitness center, and beautiful gardens.
There are two excellent restaurants at the hotel. One is a more relaxed restaurants serving things like tapas and craft beers. The other restaurant focuses on innovative land-to-table meals and fresh seafood dishes.
There are a variety of accommodation options here from places that are perfect for couples to two-bedroom villas for families or two couples.
The hotel’s location near the beach and its well-maintained facilities make it a top choice for travelers looking to indulge.
Why We Like It: I think this hotel is perfect for those seeking luxury and modern comforts. In my opinion, the beautiful setting and outstanding service make it a top pick.
However, the one negative point is that I feel like the location could be better. For such a high-end place it would be nice to have direct beach access. On the other side, the grounds are great and with the beautiful pool, fitness center, restaurants, etc. maybe you won’t miss having direct beach access.
5. Lapa Rios Lodge by Böëna
⭐️ RATING: 8.6/10 Stars on Booking.com | ✅ Book it!
Lapa Rios Ecolodge is nestled in a 1000-acre private nature reserve.
The property overlooks Golfo Dulce and the Pacific Ocean and is home to an abundance of wildlife, including monkeys, scarlet macaws, pumas, toucans, and tree frogs.

My Opinion: I think Osa Private Renting Villas is a great option if you are traveling as a family. I love that the villas provide the privacy of your own space with a kitchen, but the security and amenities of a hotel such as breakfast and the shared pool.
I think the price point is also typically very fair when you consider the number of people each villa can hold.
Just keep in mind that this hotel is not located directly in downtown Puerto Jimenez. It is about 15 minutes north of town.

This is a relatively new accommodation option, and so far, I think they are doing a great job. The hotel rooms are simple and not anything overly special, but the property is nice and the price point is very fair.

The one thing to keep in mind here is that this is a very immersive experience with nature. You might find bugs and other critters in your living area. If that freaks you out, this might not be the place for you.
9. La Leona Eco Lodge
⭐️ RATING: 9.2/10 Stars on Booking.com | ✅ Book it!

My Opinion: I think La Leona Eco Lodge is the perfect place to stay if you want to be very close to the national park. You can’t get any closer than this. I also love that this place is located directly on the beach.
I think the price point is a bit high for such rustic accommodations, but you are definitely paying for the location.
