Tips for Costa Rica Spa Resorts
- Book early for high season: Spa resorts in Costa Rica fill up quickly, especially during the dry season (December to April). It’s best to book several months in advance to secure your spot.
- Check for seasonal deals: Some resorts offer discounts during the rainy season (May to November), so you might find lower prices if you’re flexible with dates.
- Choose the right location: Consider whether you want a beachfront resort, one in the rainforest, or with hot springs. Costa Rica offers diverse environments, so pick a setting that matches your relaxation style.
- Look for all-inclusive packages: Some spa resorts offer all-inclusive options that can include meals, and activities. This can often save money in the long run. However, I don’t know of any all-inclusive resorts with spa treatment included.
- Check wellness packages: Many resorts offer wellness packages that combine spa treatments with yoga, meditation, and fitness classes. If youโre looking for a holistic experience, these can be great value.
- Ask about personalized treatments: Many spa resorts offer customizable treatments or wellness consultations, so don’t hesitate to ask about tailoring your experience to your specific needs.
- Understand the tipping culture: While tipping isnโt mandatory in Costa Rica, itโs appreciated, especially for spa services. I typically leave about 10%.
- Donโt forget travel insurance: Travel with ease knowing that any travel-related delays, lost luggage, and medical treatment is covered by your insurance. Get a travel insurance quote here.
