Staying in the heart of Playa Flamingo means you’re just steps away from the beach, various restaurants, cafes, and local shops.
However, there are not that many hotels located directly in Playa Flamingo. Instead, you’ll find a lot of high-rise condo complexes here with private rentals.
A short drive to the north will take you to Playa Potrero. This is another charming beach town known for its tranquil atmosphere and friendly locals.

Why We Like It: I think this is the absolute best hotel in Playa Flamingo.
I love that this place offers a variety of apartment options with places for couples or up to 7 guests. The property is beautiful with all the amenities and amazing views. Plus, it is just steps from the beach, so you really can’t beat the location.

Keep in mind that this property is located just north of Flamingo in Potrero. It is still possible to get to Playa Flamingo within a 10-minute drive. You can also walk from this property from Potrero beach.
Why We Like It: When we stayed at Casa Papito the owners were away and their adult son was taking care of the property. He was very nice and helpful.
The apartment was perfect for us. We had plenty of space, it was very modern and clean. Plus, we loved the terrace with private kitchen for making our own meals.
We did not use the pool when we stayed here, but it looked very nice as well.

Why We Like It: I think that this is a great place if you would like to be near the beach and need a mid-range accommodation option. The two things I love the most here are that most rooms have kitchenettes and that it is so close to the beach.

There are several different room options, but I suggest opting for one of their glamping tents. They have a few different designs, but all are beautifully designed and have a private bathroom. It’s definitely a unique accommodation option!
There is a shared pool, a shared lounge, and a bar set on the lush jungle property near the beach.
Why We Like It: I am all about unique places to stay, and the glamping here is always fun. This place always feels like a little oasis with beautiful grounds, friendly staff, and all the amenities you could need.
