We get it, planning a trip to Costa Rica can be completely overwhelming.

Fifty browser tabs open. Dozens of “best places to visit” lists that all contradict each other. Questions like Where should we fly into? and Do I really need a 4×4? start popping up. Plus, Costa Rica is home to so many amazing towns, how are you expected to choose?

We’ve been building Costa Rica Vibes since 2017, and over the years it’s grown into a massive library of guides, itineraries, and insider advice. We love that, but we also know it can be a lot to digest.

Every week, we hear from travelers saying things like:

“We’re visiting for one week and want to see La Fortuna, Monteverde, Tamarindo, Manuel Antonio, and Uvita!”

…and internally we’re like, “Ahhh no! You’ll spend half your vacation in the car!”

Slothy is, of course, a sloth (because what could be more Costa Rican?)

Behind the scenes, Slothy runs on all the information we’ve built on Costa Rica Vibes since 2017. She has taken years of exploring, testing routes, reviewing hotels, and sharing local insight and turned it into one friendly AI assistant.

How It Works

   (You’ll need a free ChatGPT account. That’s just how their platform works, sorry!)
2. Answer a few short questions about when you’re traveling, how long you’ll stay, and what kind of vibe you want (romantic, adventure, relaxation, family, etc.).
3. Get your personalized plan instantly. Complete with route suggestions and links to relevant Costa Rica Vibes guides.

You can chat back and forth, make changes, or ask anything from “Is March good for whale watching?” to “Where can I find a gluten-free restaurant near La Fortuna?”
