Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica

Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica

This is the most popular national park in the country, but is it really worth a visit?  Let's find out

There are a limit to the number of people allowed in the park per day. You now need to book tickets online and sometimes far in advance.

Buying Tickets to the Park

You might see sloths, monkeys, snakes, birds, deer, butterflies, and so much more!

What Wildlife is in the Park?

Hiring a guide is a good idea if you want a close view of wildlife. Most animals are high up in the trees and the guides carry large lenses.

Guide vs. no guide

The main trail in the park is paved and flat. It is very easy to walk. If you would like something slightly more strenuous there are trails for that too. There are no advanced trails.

The Hiking Trails

The two main beaches in the park are absolutely beautiful.  They are typically great for swimming but check the current flags and signs.

The Manuel Antonio Beaches

We think that it worth visiting. However, book your tickets in advance and arrange to get to the park right when it opens. It fills up as the day goes on.
