The best way to get here is by taking the ferry from the city of Puntarenas. The ferry ride takes about 80 minutes. You can bring a rental car or walk on.

The weather tends to be warm year round. The dry season runs from January until April. During the rainy season you can expect afternoon rainstorms and some wash out days.
Because this area isn't heavily visited, most restaurants cater to locals rather than tourists. It's a great place to try traditional Costa Rican food.
