Barra Honda National Park is located on the Nicoya Peninsula of the country. The thing that makes it so special is that it has caves you can go in. Yes...caves!
The caves are only accessible with a tour from one of the national park rangers. It is best to call them to organize your visit
To access the caves you will need to get harnessed up and climb down this steep ladder.
I will admit, it is somewhat terrifying, but oh so cool!
Once in the caves, your park ranger guide will take you through a few different caves and give you a lot of info.
You can also hike the well maintained hiking trail and enjoy an epic viewpoint.
It's a beuatiful spot that isn't heavily visited by other tourists.
