MAVI is set just outside downtown Dominical in a genuinely ideal location. It is close enough to walk to the beach and restaurants, but tucked far enough back that the property still feels private and quiet.

Rooms & Layout
MAVI has just eight spacious studio-style rooms, all designed to feel like your own little home base. Each unit includes:

- A kitchenette (fridge, sink, counter space, tea/coffee maker, basic dishes)

Every room opens onto a private terrace with a hammock, table and chairs, and a surfboard rack. Terraces face the pool and garden, with lots of natural breeze in the evenings.
On-Site Dining
Breakfast is served each morning and gets strong reviews—think eggs, fruit salad, pancakes, toast, and a very warm “family table” vibe. MAVI also has a small tropical bar and seating areas by the pool where guests often mingle.
There’s no full restaurant for lunch/dinner on-site, but Dominical’s cafes, bars, and sodas are a short walk away (and despite being a small village, Dominical has a surprisingly good food scene).

The vibe here is peaceful and intentionally mellow. It’s not a resort, and it’s not meant for younger kids (guests must be 12 or older).
Because it’s a small property, it’s more about calm mornings and surf sessions than nightlife. If you want luxury finishes or lots of on-site amenities, this might feel too simple.
The studio layout is spacious but basic, and the kitchenette is best for simple prep, not full cooking.
Our Take
We like MAVI for travelers who want comfort, kindness, and walkability over flash. It’s an especially great pick for surfers, couples, and solo travelers who appreciate a low-key atmosphere and a genuinely warm hosting experience.
Everything here feels easy. You can stroll to town, surf at sunrise, hang by the pool, and enjoy quiet evenings on your terrace.
In our opinion, the real star here is the owners. They are amazing and will take great care of you.
